We all love to wear jewellery and earrings are probably the most popular of all jewellery pieces and they are probably the piece of jewellery that is most often bought as a gift.
Earrings are worn by both men and by women and young children often have their ears pierced at a very young age. Many different cultures put great importance in the art of ear piercing and the wearing of these beautiful pieces of jewellery.
Earrings come in many designs and sizes. You may want to wear big hoop earrings which are so associated with Gypsy’s. They were very popular during the 80’s when the fashion was for big and bold jewellery. My taste is for more unique earrings that have been handmade from a mixture of materials and some of the most unique gifts that I have received have been pairs of unique handmade earrings.
If your choice is for stud earrings then you will be able to find these made from many precious and semi-precious stones like diamonds, ruby, emeralds and pearls. Sometimes you may get a mixture of these stones. The most unique earrings I have seen of a stud design is a pair that where made from beautiful Paua shell that where framed with tiny seed pearls and my friend was given these beautiful earrings as a very special unique gift.
Your personal choice may be for long chandelier earrings that are made from shinny materials like diamante and crystal and these unique earrings will shine and shimmer when they move and catch the light. These long earrings always add a dramatic touch to any outfit and a pair worn with that little black dress can change a very ordinary outfit into something very special and unique. If I wanted to make an entrance then I would choose to wear the longest and the brightest pair of earrings possible and of course a pair would make a stunning unique gift.
Maybe long chandelier earrings are not for you and your choice would be for a smaller pair but still want your unique earrings then there are lots of jewellery designers that make stunning pairs in unique and original designs. Silver is a popular metal to use in the making of the beautiful pieces of handmade jewellery, these can be made into original designs and can be set with semi-precious stones and turquoise is my favourite stone to use with silver to make unique earrings and if I was asked what I wanted as a unique gift then I would say that my perfect unique gift would be a pair of unique earrings that had been crafted from silver and turquoise.
